BIO
Composer, Media Artist
ZunoPi explores new sounds, actively incorporating them into his works without being bound by genre or medium. His approach to sound composition begins with contemplation on his relationship with the world, from which he uncovers musical possibilities. His notable work, the 'Variation of Hum' series, metaphorically exposes the dark aspects of society we tend to ignore, while another significant piece, 'A Distorted Prism,' reflects the distortions faced by individuals in today's society.
ZunoPi mainly talks about society and his own existence through his works. The medium is sound and he defines the role of sound in the process of constructing it. In order to compose his idea-driven works, he organizes screenings and exhibitions as well as concerts.
He graduated from the Chugye University for the Arts, Korea National University of Arts, and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, studying under Jung-hoon Kim, Seong-jun Moon, Seung-hyuck Lim, Sung-ho Hwang, Byung-moo Lee, and Michael Beil.
